About Dr Derek Huddleston
I am a father, husband, Air Force veteran, martial artist, yoga practitioner, and rugby afficianado. I bring a unique perspective, understanding, and skill set to my work as a
Chiropractic Sports Physician!
After an injury sidelined my military career and I was medically retired, I became free to explore other avenues in my life. I have had a succession of 11 surgeries and multiple failed attempts at decreasing substantial amounts of pain. That is how my chiropractic journey began. Which, in turn, led me to where I am today; determined to help others avoid a life of pain.
I have adopted an approach using functional and kinetic chain principles with great success. It is my understanding that adjusting along with eliminating functional deficits is key to long term success for our patients. I have extensive experience in applying evidence-based information to injury rehabilitation and return-to-play protocols for athletes of all levels.
I've had to complete the mission regardless of how I feel. I have experienced debilitating pain. I experience chronic pain. Through education I was able to lift out of the seemingly never-ending fog. Now I work from a position of victory because I have, for a large part, defeated pain. I promise to bring a compassionate, humble, confident, energetic, and dedicated approach to increasing your capacity for life.
